What? 

  • STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)

  • Songs and stories

  • Guided and freeplay activities


When? Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-11:30am 

Pick as many sessions as you like; they will be different!

Session 1: June 3, 5, 10, and 12

Session 2: June 17, 19, 24, and 26

Session 3: July 8, 10, 15, and 17


Who is it run by? 

  • Joelle (Certified educator for 30 years with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from BYU, 16 years experience in preschools) and her daughters,

    • Erika (Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from BYU-Idaho)

    • Kiana (Working on Bachelor Degree in Child Development)


Where? Outside all the time! Miss Joelle’s house (Less than a mile from Farmers’ Corner)


Cost? $50 per session. Each additional child in the household is half price. 

$20 registration fee per child for any number of sessions.

 Hello from Country Roots! Welcome to Country Roots Kids! My name is Joelle.  When I was little, my elementary school had a summer day camp that I went to for a few hours a week where I could make friends, projects, and have fun…and perhaps, in hindsight, there was an element for my mom of not hearing “I’m bored” for those precious hours.   Now that my daughter has children, she is also hearing "I'm bored" far too often. This has inspired my daughters and I to start this program. Outdoor Summer Program 2025

  Welcome to our very first outdoor summer program 2025! Thank you for your interest in our new program! We (Joelle, Erika, and Kiana) are excited to offer multiple sessions for summer day camp for ages 4-8 June-July 2025! We will have a wide range of activities based on developmentally appropriate practices.  Your child will need to:  Come with sunscreen already applied every day, as we will be outside the whole class Dress for the weather and knowing there will be bugs and grass and dirt...We will let you know in advance if there is an activity that requires specifically closed-toe shoes or water shoes. Bring a water bottle Bring snacks for the class on his/her assigned day Optional: A hat (not required, but permitted!) A backpack for projects to go home  This is not a daycare.
